The Catalogue
The Catalogue of published Brazilian Sacred and Religious Music - Works from the 18th and 19th Centuries (CMSRB) presents the publications of the sacred and religious works written in the 18th and 19th centuries by Brazilian and non-Brazilian composers active in Brazil. To date, these amount to 800 publications, spanning the period between the 1820s and the present day. The CMSRB is available only in the on-line version which can be updated with new discoveries and publications on a continual basis. We dedicate the CMSRB to Mercedes Reis Pequeno, founder and ex-director of the music department of Rio de Janeiro's National Library (Biblioteca Nacional), a pioneer in the music publication's research in Brazil.
